Para celebrar el cumpleaños 60, el director, productor y guionista Christopher McQuarrie compartió una imagen de Cruise haciendo una escena peligrosa como Ethan Hunt en Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (Misión: Imposible – Sentencia Mortal Parte Uno, 2023), que se estrenará el 14 de julio de 2023 (Estados Unidos), siguiendo Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (Misión: Imposible – Sentencia Mortal Parte Dos, 2024), planeada para el 28 de junio de 2024.
